#BreakingNews Hundreds of Thousands of ProLifers in Mexico March to Protect Unborn

Last weekend hundreds of thousands of people across Mexico marched in their country to protect unborn babies from abortion. Several March for Life events were held across the country, including in Mexico City (the capital), Guerrero, Pueblo and more than 100 other cities and towns. They gathered with the theme “the two lives,” which recognizes that the mother and her unborn child are valuable human beings. The pro-lifers often had blue ribbons and white balloons or wore blue scarfs. In some states abortions are legal up to 12 weeks in Mexico City, but many states prohibit the killing of unborn babies in abortions. According to reports the marchers chanted : “Life, yes! Abortion, no!”, “My mother said yes, and this is why I am here!”, and “Mexico, be courageous, defend the innocents”. Rodrigo Iván Cortés, President of the National Front for the Family, said: “In the whole republic, we are almost one million of people committed, who have expressed ourselves clearly and with strength”. María José Berrueta, General Director of the Steps For Life, the platform that organises Mexico City’s annual march for life, said the hundreds of thousands had sent “a very clear message: Mexico defends life”.
