#BreakingNews Young Catholic Ballerina found Dead - RIP Raffaella Maria Stroik - age 23

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Raffaella Maria Stroik, age 23, devout Catholic, beloved daughter, sister and friend. Raffaella grew up in South Bend, Ind., and is the daughter of Duncan Stroik, an architect and longtime professor of architecture at the University of Notre Dame. She studied dance at Indiana University Bloomington where she performed principal roles including the title role in “Giselle”, the Sugar Plum Fairy in "The Nutcracker", and the Swan Queen in Balanchine’s Swan Lake.She became a dancer with the St. Louis Ballet in September 2017. Raffaella was also an active member of the St. Louis area Catholic young adult group and attended Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis. She was a dear and beloved friend to many of the young adult Institute faithful at St. Francis de Sales Oratory, in St. Louis, MO. She was reported missing from St Louis Missouri on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018. 150 people, including air and water rescue teams, were searching Mark Twain Lake State Park, about 100 miles northwest of St. Louis, where the car was found Wednesday beginning about 9 a.m. Today, November 14th her body was found by a search team in the lake. A Requiem Mass will be offered for the repose of her soul at the Saint Louis Cathedral.
