Pope Francis met with Croatian President Zoran Milanović Croatian in the Vatican on Monday, November 15, 2021.
Vatican News reports that the cordial discussions, the parties expressed their appreciation for the good existing bilateral relations, and the intention to further develop collaboration. They also discussed several international and regional issues, including the situation of the Croatian people in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  During the meeting, the Holy Father presented the Croatian president with the gift of a mosaic depicting the harvesting of grapes. The president and his wife gave the Pope a copy of an ancient Croatian Missal written in Glagolitic script, the oldest known Slavic alphabet.

Holy See Press Release: The Holy Father Francis today received in audience His Excellency Zoran Milanović, President of the Republic of Croatia, who subsequently met with His Eminence Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin, accompanied by His Excellency Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States.

During the cordial discussions, the parties expressed their appreciation for the good existing bilateral relations, and the intention to further develop collaboration.

In addition, several international and regional issues were discussed, including the situation of the Croatian people in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
