Head of the Catholic Church in Ukraine says "The city of Mary (Mariupol) is covered with the lifeless bodies of hundreds, thousands of people....Let's protect life!"

The city of Mariupol is covered with the lifeless bodies of hundreds, thousands of people who no longer have anyone to bury. So today I want to raise my voice on behalf of this heroic dying city: let's save it!
Let's protect life! His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Father and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, said this in his daily military address on March 24. He noted that today is exactly a month since this terrible war against Ukraine and the Ukrainian people began. The war, which we already call the Patriotic War. The war, which has already taken so many lives, has brought so much destruction and destruction!
The Primate said that these days he had to visit our wounded defenders, to communicate with them. "And the first impression," said the Head of the Church, "that still touches me deep in my heart is that I have never seen a sad face in any of them." When I greeted them, when I held this courageous hand in my hands, and the rest of the whole body, in fact, was wounded, this soldier, this person, this woman, smiling, told me about the victory, the victory of Ukraine. And everyone asked for prayer so that they could return to work as soon as possible and again side by side with their sisters, brothers and sisters, to defend our Motherland. " Their faces, their eyes, he continued, their requests shine with hope for all of us. Hoping that the truth will prevail, that even a wounded warrior defends his homeland with prayer, thought, words of encouragement and encouragement for all those who doubt or may be confused. His Beatitude Sviatoslav asked for prayer for all those who were wounded in this war. The head of the UGCC once again addressed all the statesmen of the world states, the leaders of religious communities, churches, and denominations regarding the greatest pain of Ukraine today - the city of Mariupol. "Today, this city needs humanitarian borders. It needs even the international community to help break through the environment and bring the humanitarian aid we have to those who are slowly dying of hunger today, ”the head of the Church added.
