Head of the Catholic Church in Ukraine says "As Christians, we have a duty to pray for our enemies."

Glory to Jesus Christ!
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ!
Today is March 25, 2022. Ukraine is waging the 30th day of this terrible war. For the 30th day, the Russians have been attacking and killing our people. Russian aggression is taking lives, destroying our cities and villages. Every night Russian missiles, hailstones, bombs fall on the heads of peaceful Ukrainians ...
But Ukraine is struggling! Through our struggle and steadfastness, we raise many questions… Is there anything today for which a person should give his life? Is there an objective, inviolable truth that can be the meaning of our lives? Is there an objective, undeniable evil that must be fought against?

In modern culture, which is called the culture of post-truth, good and evil are mixed. People do not understand the difference between what gives life and what kills. Sometimes it seems that the will of an evil dictator claims the objective truth, and the people who stand for the truth can be sentenced to death by the millions.
The Ukrainian struggle, Russia's military aggression against Ukraine, and the war crimes of the Russian occupiers raise deep moral questions for the world, which say that good can never be considered good and evil good. You can never compromise with evil, and indifference to this issue, to the need to distinguish good from evil - kills. And we see it in our homeland.
Therefore, the war in Ukraine has a spiritual dimension. The great opposition of the latest manifestation of good - God's truth, and evil - the devil and his angels…
Today the whole world will turn its attention to Ukraine and Russia. Together with the Holy Father, we will dedicate them to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This will happen all over the world. Every bishop of the Ecumenical Church will perform this act.
What does it mean? This means that it is never possible to reach an agreement, to cooperate with the evil that is now coming out of Russia. And that is why we must pray for her conversion, for the eradication of that evil, so that, as the Mother of Fatima said, it does not destroy other states, does not become the cause of another world war. As Christians, we have a duty to pray for our enemies.
We will dedicate Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, because we desperately need the victory of good. The one who wiped the head of the eternal serpent by saying "yes" to God is with us today. May the protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary and all the bright angels under the leadership of Archangel Michael win in this spiritual battle. Ukraine, dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, is already winning and enduring this struggle.
Pray for us. Pray for the children of Ukraine. Pray for the cities and villages that are dying today in the name of freedom. They show that there is a Truth that liberates, and that the heroes who give their lives for it do not die, but pass from death to life.
The blessing of the Lord be upon you with His grace and love of man always, now, and forever and ever. Amen.
