Pope Francis Greets Ukrainian Refugee Children at the Vatican saying "... let us reflect again on the ugliness of war and pray again the savage cruelty of war. "

Pope Francis, on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, greeted Ukrainian refugees at the Vatican.
Welcoming the Ukrainian children present at the general audience, Pope Francis urged us to continue praying for an end to the horrors of the war in Ukraine.
"I extend my sincere congratulations to the Ukrainian children," said Pope Francis at the end of the general audience on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, interrupted by loud applause from the participants.  
 These young refugee pilgrims, who found refuge in Italy, came to meet with the Holy Father together with the benefactors who receive them, accompanied by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Holy See.
"… Who are guests of the Aiutiamoli a vivere Foundation, the Puer Association and the Embassy of Ukraine at the Holy See," the Pope continued, adding: "Welcoming these children, let us reflect again on the ugliness of war and pray again the savage cruelty of war. "
After the Our Father prayer and blessing, the Ukrainian children, as well as those who help them, had the opportunity to personally greet Pope Francis, to whom the children presented their drawings.
