The Resurrection of the Lord was celebrated in an all-night atmosphere at the Ecumenical PatriarchateWith special splendor, solemnity and according to the long-standing ecclesiastical tradition and order, the Brilliant Resurrection of the Lord was celebrated in the Center of Orthodoxy.
The A.Th. Panagiotis the Ecumenical Patriarch Mr. Bartholomew celebrated at midnight on Holy Saturday of the Resurrection ceremony in the courtyard of the Patriarchate, surrounded by the Revs. Metropolitans of Moschonissia Mr. Kyrillos, Aeneon Mr. Makarios, Philadelphia Mr. Melitona, Sevastia Mr. Serafeim, Myriophytou and Peristaseos Mr. Irineos, Myron Mr. Chrysostomos and Irinoupoleos Mr. Nikandrolis, as well as A message for the feast of Easter to the crew of the Church, appealed, once again, to end the fratricidal war in Ukraine, given to the Risen Savior"This Easter should be the trigger to open humanitarian corridors, safe passages, to really safe areas, for the thousands trapped in Mariupol, the civilians, among whom are the wounded, the elderly, women and many children. The same should apply to all other regions of Ukraine, where an indescribable human tragedy is unfolding " .
His Holiness, in another part of his speech, expressed the belief that "the forces of evil, violence and injustice, which continue to plague humanity, will not win in the end."

Honorable brothers,
Most beloved children in the Lord,
It resounded again, and reached the ends of the earth and the heavens, the glorious "Christ is Risen!". It celebrates the race of people, the ones from the beginning, us contemporaries and the generations that will live until the coming of the King of glory. Celebrates the building that is being renovated in Christ Anastadi. "Now there is always light, heaven and earth and the depths."
Easter is a festival of unseen light. Christ is "the light of the world." Light, not for the few chosen, but for all without exception, without discrimination. The pandora God of extreme charity gives the human face insurmountable value. Man becomes a shareholder and communicant of eternal life. And whoever loves "brother" remains "in the fire" (1 John 2: 9). Whoever ignores him, offends him, harms him, turns against God himself.
Our thoughts are running tonight in the martyrdom of Ukraine and in all corners of the earth, where violence and the collapse of human dignity prevail. Let us pray, brothers and children, the Easter of the Lord, the "peace from above, the ever-superior mind", the Resurrection that transmitted us to the "other", the eternal life, to be a passage, passage, to the peace of the universe, the peace of the peoples, which humanity so desperately needs. Let us ask Anastantas Lytrotis this Easter to be the trigger to open humanitarian corridors, safe passages to really safe areas, for the thousands trapped in Mariupol, the civilians, among whom are the wounded, the elderly, women and many children. The same applies to all other regions of Ukraine, where an indescribable human tragedy unfolds. Tonight, on this blessed night, we call once again for an immediate end to the fratricidal war, which, like any war, undermines human dignity and is a provocative violation of the Sunday commandment of love for fellow human beings.
It is not possible to live "as if He never came", the Savior of the world. This evangelical message, that truth and grace have come and "we have overshadowed the shadow", we declare tonight, too, the fact of the voice. We practice what constitutes the quintessence of our lives as Christians, who have an "Easter conception of life, death and eternity." Christ's victory over death permeates our existence with the threads of eternal life, directs us to the "en, ou's need". The glorious Resurrection of the Lord fills our lives with joy, turns it into an everyday Easter. We know with certainty that the forces of evil, violence and injustice, which continue to plague humanity, will not prevail in the end.
We arrived on this blessed Sabbath, in the Church, through a period of practice, fasting and repentance, which gave off the fragrance of the Resurrection. We will enter the glorious Patriarchal Church of Saint George the Trophy Bearer, in the most solemn procession of the ecclesiastical year, which vibrates with the dynamism and joy of the Resurrection of Christ and uniquely depicts the light flow and fullness of the life of St. Basil. where the "children of light" will gaze at the Lord of glory "face to face".
This is the glory and the honor and the thanks.
