A Catholic Church in Houton, Texas, USA, reported that its Tabernacle, that holds the Eucharist, was stolen. On May 9th they wrote on their Facebook page:
It is with deep sadness, we share that, last night, our Tabernacle was stolen. As the police are investigating the case, we come together as a parish family to pray unceasingly for this horrible act of desecration. If you have any information that can help in the investigation, please call our office: 281 391 4758. May the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, guide and protect us during this difficult and heartbreaking time in the life of our parish.
On Twitter the pastor wrote:
“We don't know who did it but the police are investigating. Please pray for us and for those who committed this criminal sacrilege,” Father Christopher Plant of St. Bartholomew the Apostle Catholic Church, located in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, tweeted May 9.
