Amazing Projections on the Facade of St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican Recounting the Life of the 1st Pope - St. Peter

An amazing project of art was begun on October 2nd, 2022. A movie was projected on the façade of St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican. It became  a giant movie screen. Artistic images of St. Peter, found in the Vatican Museums, recounted the life of the 1st pope, whom Jesus chose as the head of His Church. The screening was attended by the Curia and hundreds of pilgrims, tourists and spectators. Cardinal Mauro Gambetti—archpriest of St. Peter's Basilica—explained that this initiative illumines faith through the life of St. Peter.

As if he were telling us,“I found the love of Jesus who looked at me in the deepest part of my life and there my existence was transformed.” The opening night featured a live performance from Andrea Bocelli. The artist's music helped in contemplation and appreciation of the film. The initiative was promoted by the Fratelli Tutti Foundation. The screenings of the short film will be held every evening until October 21.
