Saint Pope John Paul II said of Saint Joseph: “March 19, we will celebrate the Solemnity of Saint Joseph, spouse of the Virgin Mary and patron of the universal Church. The extreme discretion with which Joseph carried out the role entrusted to him by God highlights his faith even more, which consisted in always listening to the Lord, seeking to understand his will and to obey it with his whole heart and strength. This is why the Gospel describes him as a "righteous" man (Mt 1,19). In fact, the just man is the person who prays, lives by faith, and seeks to do good in every concrete circumstance of life.”<br /><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="432" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/480K06DYlTc" title="Who is ST JOSEPH 🙏Saint JOSEPH True Story in 3 Min 🙏 BIOGRAPHY of the Foster Father of Jesus 🙏 HD" width="446"></iframe></p><div><b>SEE ALSO : <br />Novena to St. Joseph - SHARE - Miracle #Prayer + Litany<br /><a href="https://www.catholicnewsworld.com/2021/03/novena-to-st-joseph-begins-powerful.html">https://www.catholicnewsworld.com/2021/03/novena-to-st-joseph-begins-powerful.html</a>Free Catholic Easy Recipe for St Joseph's Feast : St. Joseph's Cream Puffs<br /><a href="https://www.catholicnewsworld.com/2018/03/free-catholic-easy-recipe-for-stjosephs.html">https://www.catholicnewsworld.com/2018/03/free-catholic-easy-recipe-for-stjosephs.html</a><br />Free Catholic Movie : "Joseph of Nazareth" - StJoseph stars Tobias Moretti<br /><a href="https://www.catholicnewsworld.com/2018/03/free-catholic-movie-joseph-of-nazareth.html">https://www.catholicnewsworld.com/2018/03/free-catholic-movie-joseph-of-nazareth.html</a></b><div style="background-color: white; color: #303030; font-family: Georgia, Utopia, "Palatino Linotype", Palatino, serif; font-size: 16px;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: medium;">*******</span></div>Joseph was a descendant of David, the king of Israel, and therefore of royal family. Joseph was a poor, working man, trained in carpentry. He was devout follower of Jewish law, he could only afford turtle doves, rather than the recommended lamb, for sacrifice at the circumcision of Jesus.<br />In the Scriptures, upon discovering that Mary was pregnant, but not realizing that she had miraculously conceived, Joseph planned to divorce her quietly.<br />In the Gospel of Matthew 1:18-25 we read:<br />18 This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. 19 Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."<br />22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23"The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"—which means, "God with us." 24When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 25But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.<span style="color: #303030; font-family: georgia; font-size: medium;"><br /></span>When he received the announcement from the angel of the Lord, Joseph followed his instructions, naming his new son Jesus on the eighth day after his birth. When the angel returned and told Joseph to flee to Egypt, he did so, traveling to a strange and foreign land. Joseph obeyed the angel when he told him to return, moving to Nazareth in Galilee. There, he worked as a carpenter, and we Jesus oftentimes assists him. When Jesus is twelve, and goes missing for three days in the temple, we find in scriptures that Joseph and Mary searched for Jesus with great anxiety.<br />Biblical historians and scholars agree that Joseph likely died sometime between Jesus’ twelfth and thirtieth birthday. Mary is described as widowed by the time Jesus begins His public ministry.<span style="color: #303030; font-family: georgia; font-size: medium;"><br /><span style="font-family: Georgia, Utopia, Palatino Linotype, Palatino, serif;"><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 16px;">Saint Brigid of Sweden said of Saint Joseph:</span></span><br /><i style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Utopia, "Palatino Linotype", Palatino, serif; font-size: 16px;">"St. Joseph was so reserved and careful in his speech that not one word ever issued from his mouth that was not good and holy, nor did he ever indulge in unnecessary or less than charitable conversation. He was perfectly conformed to the Divine Will and so resigned to the dispositions of Heaven that he ever repeated" May the Will of God ever be done in me!" Niña will now be be known as a "Servant of God". "Rejoice!", wrote the Bishop of Laoag, Renato Mayugba, who had already received the full support of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines during its July 2023 assembly. The diocese of Laoag, where the girl came from, will commence a local inquiry into the reputation and sanctity of Abad, reported the Bishop of Laoag, the competent authority in charge of launching the diocesan phase of the beatification cause. This process will officially open on April 7, Divine Mercy Sunday, in the Cathedral of Saint William of Laoag, with the first session of the specially convened diocesan tribunal.<br />Niña Ruiz-Abad was born on October 31, 1979 at Capitol Medical Center in Quezon City, the daughter of a couple of lawyers, but her father died when she was only three years old. She grew up in Quezon City, along with her sister Mary Anne. She studied at the Child Study Center of the University of the Philippines in Quezon City and later at the Holy Angels Montessori School in the same city. Her mother, a devotee of Divine Mercy, moved with her daughters to Sarrat in April 1988 due to her work at the Department of Justice.<br />Niña attended Mariano Marcos State University High School in Laoag. She was described as having a strong devotion to the Eucharist and devoted her life to distributing rosaries, bibles, prayer books, holy images and other religious items.<br />An unwavering faith encouraged her, even though she was beginning to feel the effects of heart disease. When Father Danny Pajarillaga, a Catholic priest, met Niña for the first time in 1993, he immediately realized that she was a unique, spiritually "special" girl. She stood out among her classmates for her fervent faith in the Eucharist and for the time she dedicated to praying. As a true missionary disciple, she "was a walking testimony of piety and religion, she was always dressed in white and with a rosary around her neck," remember those who knew her.<br />The little girl was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy at the age of 10 and she lived three years of illness always with joy and deep faith. "Niña's life was a life of prayer, adoration and an intimate relationship with God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the Blessed Virgin Mary", said Bishop Mayugba.<div>Abad passed away at the age of 13 in 1993 from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, an incurable cardiac disease.<br />She is buried in a public cemetery in Sarrat and her grave is a place of pilgrimage. "Today, children and young people are inspired by the life of Niña Ruiz-Abad to live a life rooted in prayer. Her story continues to reach the hearts of many people because it is an example of how with God obstacles can be overcome," wrote the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines.<br />Sources: Fides.org and CBCP News of the Philippine Catholic Bishops<br /><br /></div><div class="blogger-post-footer">Please Note Videos are not sent via Email but can be accessed by Clicking the Link to the Website - Be Kind - Donate Today! Gomez on May 19, 2010. Reverend John Mary Foster, founder of the apostolate and an</div><div>incardinated priest of the Archdiocese of San Antonio, has enjoyed a special assignment to serve</div><div>as the director of MDM. Although he had hoped the apostolate would grow and the number of</div><div>members would increase, this has not occurred. The apostolate consisted of Reverend John Mary</div><div>Foster, his biological sister and former religious sister Mary Foster, his cousin William Roderique,</div><div>his nephew Joseph Jebbia, and a non-family member: Araceli Granados Gantner. The MDM is not,</div><div>a canonically erected religious community of either diocesan or pontifical rite and its status as a</div><div>Catholic apostolate of the Archdiocese of San Antonio has been suppressed and revoked by official</div><div>decree on March 15, 2024. Additionally, Reverend Foster’s faculties to minister have also been</div><div>removed as of March 15, 2024.</div><div><br /></div><div>Since 2009, the Mission of Divine Mercy has offered retreats, sacramental ministry, and a peaceful</div><div>setting for the faithful of God. have been supportive of their efforts, and I have enjoyed a positive</div><div>relationship with Reverend Foster and the members of the Mission of Divine Mercy. The only</div><div>stipulation I have ever requested of the MDM -~ in order to prevent any misunderstandings and</div><div>possible scandal -- was to refrain from publishing any alleged prophetic message until they were</div><div>reviewed to ensure they were not harmful to the people of God. This stipulation was intended to</div><div>protect the faithful since the alleged prophetic writings include many scandalous claims and false</div><div>teachings. Until just recently, the members of the Mission of Divine Mercy have been obedient to</div><div>my request.<br /></div><div><div>On February 28, 2024, Reverend Foster published an alleged prophetic message from a member</div><div>of the MDM community. I contacted Reverend Foster the same day and requested that he remove</div><div>the post on the website. On March 5, 2024, 1 met with Reverend Foster for more than an hour,</div><div>praying together and discussing the false teachings contained in the post and Reverend Foster’s</div><div>oath of fidelity to the Church and duty of obedience to me, which oath and duty he has reaffirmed</div><div>each year during the Chrism Mass since his incardination in 2009. The next day, Reverend Foster</div><div>posted a second alleged prophetic message. On March 7, 2024, I repeated my direct request to him</div><div>to remove these publications from the MDM website and social media, to begin assisting in</div><div>repairing the confusion, bewilderment and damage caused by these alleged prophecies. On March</div><div>13, 2024, the third alleged prophetic message was widely published.</div><div><br /></div><div>Reverend Foster, in the statement he posted on the website of the Mission of Divine Mercy entitled,</div><div>“We Must Obey God”, outright admits his disobedience to Pope Francis and his Ordinary and cites</div><div>the following reasons which he believes justifies his actions:</div><div><br /></div><div>“We know that many people are concerned that the Mission of Divine Mercy is being</div><div>disobedient to our Archbishop in publishing these Messages. And that our “disobedience”</div><div>discredits these Messages. That is a very legitimate concern, The key question is: Are we</div><div>obeying God? We should always obey God. And normally, we should obey legitimate</div><div>human authorities—but only in those cases where human authorities are acting in accord</div><div>with God's law. There are occasions, as the Church has clearly taught, when we are called</div><div>to obey God even though it means disobeying human authorities.’ We see many examples</div><div>in the life of Our Lord Himself as we will discuss below. Is our situation one of those</div><div>occasions? We are making three claims that may be shocking to many: 1. That these</div><div>Messages are coming from God. They are prophetic Messages. 2. That the Church is facing</div><div>an extreme crisis, beyond any she has faced before, because, as a Message we recently</div><div>published says “the usurper [is sitting] on the chair of My Peter—he who is carrying out</div><div>the Great Treason."? This extreme crisis calls for extreme measures. 3. Given this extreme</div><div>crisis, we are obeying God in publishing these messages, even without our Archbishop</div><div>permission” (“We Must Obey God”, p.1).</div><div><br /></div><div>In his document Father Foster, in his own words and by quoting the alleged prophetic messages</div><div>refers to Pope Francis as “the usurper” and writes: “In summary, we must always obey</div><div>God. Normally, obeying God includes obeying the authorities of the Church, But we are living in</div><div>an unprecedented crisis. God is telling us that the Throne of Peter is occupied by a usurper, and</div><div>we should not submit to him nor those who are carrying out his unjust designs”? (We Must Obey</div><div>God”, p. 11).</div>Father Foster publicly declares his disobedience to Church authority and encourages others to do
the same: “When superiors are actively committing or commanding grave evil, one is not obliged
10 obey them. We don't believe our Archbishop intends 10 do evil. We believe he is good-
hearted. But he is enthusiastically following Bergoglio, whom we do believe is trying to subvert
the Church” (“We Must Obey God”, p. 10).<br />
Conscious of my duty to exercise governance over the ministries of the archdiocese and prudently
lead the Christian faithful of the Archdiocese, I cannot allow any further confusion and grave
scandal to descend upon the faithful of God and so I have removed Reverend Foster’s faculties for
public ministry in the Archdiocese of San Antonio. I pray that Reverend Foster will work with me
to repair the damage that has been caused and find a path forward for his ministry.<br />
Sincerely Yours in Christ,<br />

Mark Lewis S.J., Rector of the Pontifical Gregorian University, received a decree from Fr. Arturo Sosa S.J., Superior General of the Society of Jesus and Vice Grand Chancellor of the Pontifical Gregorian University. The decree states that the new General Statutes of the University, which permanently incorporate the Pontifical Biblical Institute and the Pontifical Oriental Institute, will come into effect on 19 May 2024, which is Pentecost Sunday.<br /><br />The three institutions share a common bond as they were all entrusted to the Society of Jesus by the Pope. The Gregorian, established in 1551 by St. Ignatius of Loyola, served as the academic hub known as the 'Roman College' for centuries. The Pontifical Biblical Institute, founded in 1909, serves as a center for advanced studies of sacred Scripture. The Pontifical Oriental Institute, established in 1917, is focused on higher studies in the ecclesiastical sciences and the canon law of the Eastern Churches.<br /><br />The Statutes were created following the Chirograph signed by Pope Francis on Dec. 17, 2019. In this letter the Holy Father ordered that the Pontifical Biblical Institute and the Pontifical Oriental Institute be joined to the Gregorian University, while still retaining their own names and missions. This was done in such a way that they are now part of “the same juridical person, as academic units of the University”. The request aims to improve the ability of the two Pontifical Institutes to carry out their specific missions in the present context.<br /><br />Pope Francis also expressed his desire for the Dicastery for the Oriental Churches to continue “supporting and promoting the mission of the Pontifical Oriental Institute”, with the Prefect of that Dicastery assuming the function of Patron for the Institute. Finally, the Holy Father delegated the power to prepare new statutes for the Pontifical Gregorian University, incorporating the two pontifical institutes, to the Superior General of the Society of Jesus and the institutions involved. The Dicastery for Culture and Education ratified and approved the new statutes on February 11, 2024.<br /><br />The Pontifical Gregorian University is governed by a single Rector, who is assisted by his Council. The Council includes the three Presidents who share the responsibility for managing the entire University. They supervise and promote the fulfillment of the missions of the Pontifical Biblical Institute, the Pontifical Oriental Institute, and the Collegium Maximum (the latter body represents the faculties and institutes that have been erected at the Gregorian to date). The University's Administrative Director and a sixth member appointed by the Vice Grand Chancellor are also part of the Council.<br /><br />On May 19, 2024, the following individuals will take office for a three-year term: Fr. Giuseppe Di Luccio S.J. as President of the Collegium Maximum, Fr. Peter Dubovský S.J. as President of the Pontifical Biblical Institute, Fr. Sunny Thomas Kokkaravakyil S.J. as President of the Pontifical Oriental Institute, Fr. David E. Nazar S.J. as Administrative Director of the University, and Mr. Luigi Allena as the sixth member of the Rector's Council.</div><div>Sources: https://catforumroma.it/institution/pontificia-universita-gregoriana/ and Vatican News</div><p></p><div class="blogger-post-footer">Please Note Videos are not sent via Email but can be accessed by Clicking the Link to the Website - Be Kind - Donate Today! In the East his feast is observed on the 18th of March, in the West on the 18th or 20th. Little is known of his life. We gather information concerning him from his younger contemporaries, Epiphanius, Jerome, and Rufinus, as well as from the fifth-century historians, Socrates, Sozomen and Theodoret. Cyril himself gives us the date of his "Catecheses" as fully seventy years after the Emperor Probus, that is about 347, if he is exact. Constans (d. 350) was then still alive. Mader thinks Cyril was already bishop, but it is usually held that he was at this date only as a priest. St. Jerome relates (Chron. ad ann. 352) that Cyril had been ordained priest by St. Maximus, his predecessor, after whose death the episcopate was promised to Cyril by the metropolitan, Acacius of Caesarea, and the other Arian bishops, on condition that he should repudiate the ordination he had received from Maximus. He consented to minister as deacon only, and was rewarded for this impiety with the see. Maximus had consecrated Heraclius to succeed himself, but Cyril, by various frauds, degraded Heraclius to the priesthood. So says St. Jerome; but Socrates relates that Acacius drove out St. Maximus and substituted St. Cyril. A quarrel soon broke out between Cyril and Acacius, apparently on a question of precedence or jurisdiction. At Nicaea the metropolitan rights of Caesarea had been guarded, while a special dignity had been granted to Jerusalem. Yet St. Maximus had held a synod and had ordained bishops. This may have been as much as the cause of Acacius' enmity to him as his attachment to the Nicene formula. On the other hand, Cyril's correct Christology may have been the real though veiled ground of the hostility of Acacius to him. At all events, in 357 Acacius caused Cyril to be exiled on the charge of selling church furniture during a famine. Cyril took refuge with Silvanus, Bishop of Taraus. He appeared at the Council of Seleucia in 359, in which the Semi-Arian party was triumphant. Acacius was deposed and St. Cyril seems to have returned to his see. But the emperor was displeased at the turn of events, and, in 360, Cyril and other moderates were again driven out, and only returned at the accession of Julian in 361. In 367 a decree of Valens banished all the bishops who had been restored by Julian, and Cyril remained in exile until the death of the persecutor in 378. In 380, St. Gregory of Nyssa came to Jerusalem on the recommendation of a council held at Antioch in the preceding year. He found the Faith in accord with the truth, but the city a prey to parties and corrupt in morals. St. Cyril attended the great Council of Constantinople in 381, at which Theodosius had ordered the Nicene faith, now a law of the empire, to be promulgated. St. Cyril then formally accepted the homoousion; Socrates and Sozomen call this an act of repentance. Socrates gives 385 for St. Cyril's death, but St. Jerome tells us that St. Cyril lived eight years under Theodosius, that is, from January 379.</span><br style="font-family: Georgia, Utopia, "Palatino Linotype", Palatino, serif;" /><span style="font-family: Georgia, Utopia, "Palatino Linotype", Palatino, serif;">Source The Catholic Encyclopedia</span><iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/tJ_UL6vQlqs" style="font-family: Georgia, Utopia, "Palatino Linotype", Palatino, serif; max-width: 100%;" width="640"></iframe><div class="blogger-post-footer">Please Note Videos are not sent via Email but can be accessed by Clicking the Link to the Website - Be Kind - Donate Today! The veiled images build within us a longing for Easter Sunday.</p><p style="background-color: white; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, serif; font-size: 16px;">When images are unveiled before the Easter Vigil, we are reminded that we, in a sense, live in a veiled world. Christ lifts the veil through His Resurrection.</p><p style="background-color: white; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, serif; font-size: 16px;">Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. It is not a show; it is a proclamation of our salvation, and therefore it must leave a sign.<br /><br />In this year’s <a href="https://www.vatican.va/content/francesco/en/messages/lent/documents/20231203-messaggio-quaresima2024.html">Lenten Message</a>, I recalled that during Holy Week it is necessary to devote time to prayer, to welcome the Word of God, to stop like the Samaritan before the wounded brother: “Love of God and love of neighbour are one love… In the presence of God, we become brothers and sisters, more sensitive to one another”, instead of imaging them as enemies and increasingly separating ourselves from them.<br /><br />Holy Week is a time of grace, let us not forget; it is a time of grace that the Lord gives us so that we can open the doors of our hearts, our parishes, our confraternities. To “open” and to “go out” is what we are asked to do in Holy Week, to open the heart and go towards Jesus and others, and also to bring the light and joy of our faith. Always go out! And do so with the love and tenderness of God, with respect and patience, knowing that we give our hands, our feet, our heart, but it is God who guides us and shows us the way.<br /><br />Dear Emeritensian brothers and sisters, I pray for you, especially for the families who have a loved one who is sick, for those who are alone, for those in need, for those who are experiencing economic difficulties, and also for the young, who are the present and the future of the Confraternity of Mérida.<br /><br />I wish you a fruitful Holy Week under the protection of Saint Eulalia, and I send you my Blessing, and I ask you, please, not to forget to pray for me. Thank you!<br /><br />_____________________________________________<br /><br /><a href="https://press.vatican.va/content/salastampa/en/bollettino/pubblico/2024/03/16/240316i.html">Holy See Press Office Bulletin</a>, 16 March 2024 <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /></div><div class="blogger-post-footer">Please Note Videos are not sent via Email but can be accessed by Clicking the Link to the Website - Be Kind - Donate Today! One would think that this happens in the Resurrection, not on the Cross, which is a defeat, a failure! Instead today Jesus, speaking of his Passion, says: "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified" (v. 23). What does he want to tell us?<br />He wants to tell us that glory, for God, does not correspond to human success, fame or popularity; glory, for God, has nothing self-referential, it is not a grandiose manifestation of power followed by applause from the public. <br /><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="421" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/bvX31-Lh5Z8" title="March 17 2024 Angelus prayer Pope Francis" width="448"></iframe><br />For God, glory is loving to the point of giving one's life. Glorifying oneself, for Him, means giving oneself, making oneself accessible, offering his love for him. And this happened in a culminating way on the Cross, right there, where Jesus deployed the love of God to the maximum, fully revealing his face of mercy, giving us life and forgiving his crucifiers.<br />Brothers and sisters, from the Cross, "chair of God", the Lord teaches us that true glory, the one that never fades and makes us happy, is made of gift and forgiveness. Gift and forgiveness are the essence of God's glory. And they are the way of life for us. Gift and forgiveness: very different criteria from what we see around us, and even within us, when we think of glory as something to receive rather than give; as something to be possessed rather than offered. No, worldly glory passes and leaves no joy in the heart; it does not even lead to the good of all, but to division, discord, envy.<br />And then we can ask ourselves: what is the glory that I desire for myself, for my life, that I dream of for my future? To impress others with my skill, my abilities or the things I own? Or the way of gift and forgiveness, that of Jesus Crucified, the way of those who never tire of loving, confident that this bears witness to God in the world and makes the beauty of life shine? What glory do I want for myself? In fact, let us remember that when we give and forgive, the glory of God shines within us. Right there: when we give and forgive.<br />May the Virgin Mary, who faithfully followed Jesus in the hour of his Passion, help us to be living reflections of the love of Jesus.<br /><b>After the Angelus<br /></b>Dear brothers and sisters!<br />I learned with relief that in Haiti a teacher and four of the six religious of the Frères du Sacré-Cœur Institute kidnapped last February 23 have been freed. I ask that the other two religious men and all the people still kidnapped in that beloved country affected by so much violence be released as soon as possible. I invite all political and social actors to abandon any particular interest and to commit themselves in a spirit of solidarity in the search for the common good, supporting a peaceful transition towards a country which, with the help of the international community, is equipped with solid institutions capable of bringing back the order and tranquility among its citizens.<br />We continue to pray for the populations tormented by war, in Ukraine, in Palestine and in Israel, in Sudan. And let's not forget Syria, a country that has suffered greatly from war for some time.<br />I greet all of you who have come from Rome, from Italy and from many parts of the world. In particular, I greet the Spanish students of the "Camplus" university residence network, the parish groups of Madrid, Pescara, Chieti, Locorotondo and the parish of San Giovanni Leonardi in Rome. I greet the San Giuseppe Social Cooperative of Como, the children of Perugia, the young people of Bologna on their way towards the Profession of Faith, and the children of Confirmation of Pavia, Iolo di Prato and Cavaion Veronese.<br />I welcome with pleasure the participants in the Rome Marathon, a traditional celebration of sport and brotherhood. This year too, on the initiative of Athletica Vaticana, numerous athletes are involved in the "solidarity relays", becoming witnesses of sharing.<br />And I wish everyone a good Sunday. Please don't forget to pray for me. Have a nice lunch and see you!</div><div class="blogger-post-footer">Please Note Videos are not sent via Email but can be accessed by Clicking the Link to the Website - Be Kind - Donate Today! I commend to thee my native land, which was so dear to thee while on earth. Protect it still, and, above all, direct its chief pastors, particularly those who teach us. Give them grace to walk in thy footsteps, to nurture the flock with the word of life and the bread of salvation, and to lead the heirs of the Saints thou hast formed to the possession of that glory which they, with Thee, enjoy in the kingdom of the Blessed: through Christ Jesus, our Lord. The march began at 12:00pm with a stage with testimonies, and reading of the Yes to Platform manifesto. A minute of silence was observed along with the traditional release of balloons in memory of the unborn and all the victims of the culture of death. It culminated with a small concert to celebrate Life Day.<br />Spain's International Day of Life , is commemorated every March 25; however, the organization points out that, as this day coincides with Holy Week, and in order to facilitate attendance from all cities in Spain, this year the march occurred on March 10 .<br /><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="332" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/HTJE-BvRHsw" title="MARCHA SÍ A LA VIDA 2024" width="346"></iframe><br />The March uses the same color, hope green, and the same motto, Yes to Life; which will be attended by people from all the cities of Spain and other European countries to show their commitment to life. Thus, the Yes to Life Platform calls on civil society to attend from anywhere in Spain and thus show that every life is important, participating in the revolution for the care of people; to celebrate and vindicate the right to life of every human being, from its beginning to its natural end, and the dignity of each life regardless of its capabilities, state of health, stage or circumstances in which it is found.<br /><br />Alicia Latorre, spokesperson for the Yes to Life Platform and president of the Spanish Federation of Pro-Life Associations, said: “It is an appointment for people of all ages and conditions, to a call for unity and perseverance in the defense of life. It is turning on a light in the midst of so many difficulties, certain that there is less left for each person to be valued and irreplaceable. Our commitment is firm and our hope immovable.”<br /><br />Amaya Azcona, General Director of the REDMADRE Foundation, stated before the march: “Motherhood support organizations will be present at this March, like every year, to tell women with difficulties faced with an unforeseen pregnancy that we are here to accompany them to overcome the difficulties.” that arise when learning the news of the pregnancy.”<br /><br />Álvaro Ortega, President of Fundación + Vida, has said about the great Yes to Life March: “It is a day in which young people take to the streets to celebrate this fundamental right of the human being and to show that our generation is made up of people committed to the value of life the day. It is a day when together we show the truth and beauty of each human life.”<br /><br />The Yes to Life Platform reported 35,000 in attendance. 500 different organizations and groups of people have organized buses from their cities to attend.<div><iframe allow="autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="true" frameborder="0" height="650" scrolling="no" src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fsialavida25m%2Fposts%2Fpfbid02GtHsejjkUGYLz5UbQpJk143u8QhyVv8covNJfHikebdWVeui4BFJCMJkMVp7uAzvl&show_text=true&width=500" style="border: none; overflow: hidden;" width="500"></iframe></div><div>Sources: Si a la Vida - and EuropeanConservative.com</div><div class="blogger-post-footer">Please Note Videos are not sent via Email but can be accessed by Clicking the Link to the Website - Be Kind - Donate Today! Among them some 200 children and their parents, including children from countries at war, such as Ukraine and Gaza who are receiving the medical treatment they were unable to get in their home countries. (The Second Video is the Audience with the Pope)<br /></i>Paul VI Audience Hall<br />Saturday, 16 March 2024<br />________________________________________<br />Dear brothers and sisters, good morning and welcome to you all!<br /><br />I am very pleased to meet you, as you commemorate the first centenary of the foundation of the “Bambino Gesù” Paediatric Hospital. A century ago, it was donated to the Holy See by the Salviati family: the first real hospital dedicated to children. The gift was welcomed by Pius XI, who saw in the work the expression of the charity of the Pope and of the Church towards the little patients, and from then on it has been known as the “Pope’s Hospital”.<br /><br />Let us pause a moment, then, to reflect with gratitude on the richness of this institution, which has developed over a century of history, highlighting three aspects: giving, care, and community.<br /><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="335" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/-xfMyYVjE-8" title="🚨BREAKING NEWS | The “Pope's hospital”: 100 years of serving sick children" width="360"></iframe><br />The first aspect: giving. Today “Bambino Gesù” is one of the largest centres for paediatric research and care, a reference point for families who come from all over the world. However, the element of giving, with values of gratuitousness, generosity, willingness and humility, remains fundamental, in its history and its vocation. It is good to remember, in this regard, the gesture of the children of Duchess Arabella Salviati who, at the beginning of your history, gave their mother their moneybox as a gift in order to create a hospital for children: this tells us that this great work is based also on humble gifts, such as that of these young people for the benefit of their sick peers. And in the same vein, it is good, in our times, to mention the generosity of the many benefactors thanks to whom it was possible to build a Palliative Care Centre in Passoscuro for very young patients suffering from incurable diseases.<br /><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="432" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/4eOdabVZYxI" title="Audience with directors and staff of the "Bambino Gesù" Pediatric Hospital, March 16, 2024" width="456"></iframe><br />Only in this light can one fully understand the value of what you do, from the smallest to the largest things, and continue to dream for the future. Let us think, for example, of the prospect of a new site in Rome, the premises for which were recently set out in an <a href="https://press.vatican.va/content/salastampa/en/bollettino/pubblico/2024/02/08/240208f.html">agreement between the Holy See and the Italian State</a>. Likewise, the considerable ordinary and extraordinary economic commitment, linked to the protection and maintenance of structures and equipment; to the guarantee of the professional quality of doctors and operators; to scientific research; to the reception of children in need from all over the world, offered without distinction of social condition, nationality or religion. In all this, giving is an indispensable element of your being and acting.<br />Second aspect: care. Science, and as a consequence the capacity to treat, can be said to be the first of the tasks that characterizes the “Bambino Gesù” Hospital today. It is the tangible response you give to the heartfelt requests for help from families who ask for their children to be assisted and, where possible, cured. Excellence in biomedical research is therefore important. I encourage you to cultivate it with the zeal to offer the best of yourselves, and with special attention towards the frailest, such as patients affected with serious, rare or ultra-rare diseases. Not only that, but so that science and expertise do not remain the privilege of a few, I urge you to continue to make the fruits of your research available to all, especially where they are most needed, as you do for example by contributing to the training of African, Asian and Middle Eastern doctors and nurses.<br /><br />On the subject of care, we know that a child's illness involves all his or her family members. Therefore, it is a great consolation to know that there are so many families cared for by your services, accommodated in facilities linked to the hospital and accompanied by your kindness and closeness. This is a qualifying element, which should never be overlooked, even though I know that you sometimes work under difficult conditions. Rather we sacrifice something else, but not kindness and tenderness. There is no care without relationship, proximity and tenderness, at every level.<br /><br />And finally, we come to the third point: community. One of the most beautiful expressions describing the mission of “Bambino Gesù” is “Lives that help life”. It is beautiful, because it speaks of a mission carried out together, a joint action in which the gift of each person finds its place. This is your true strength, and the prerequisite for facing even the most difficult of challenges. Indeed, yours is not a job like many others: it is a mission, which each person exercises in a different way. For some it involves the dedication of an entire life; for others, for others it involves volunteering time; for others, it involves the gift of blood, of milk - for hospitalized babies whose mothers cannot provide it -, and even the gift of organs, cells and tissues, offered by living people or taken from the bodies of deceased people. Love drives some parents to the heroic gesture of consenting to the donation the organs of their children who passed away. In all of this, what emerges is a “togetherness” in which the various gifts contribute to the good of the young patients.<br /><br />Dear brothers and sisters, I confess that when I come to “Bambino Gesù” I feel two opposing sentiments: I feel sorrow for the suffering of the sick children and their parents, but at the same time I feel great hope, seeing everything that is done there to treat them. Thank you! Thank you for all of this. Keep going forward in this blessed work. I bless you from my heart, and I pray for you. And you too, please, pray for me. Thank you.<br /><br />Now I will give the blessing to you all: to the sick, the doctors, the nurses and all the people who work in this Hospital and for this Hospital. Let us pray to Our Lady to help us to keep going. CAMILLO FARESIN" FOUNDATION,<br />OF MARAGNOLE DI BREGANZE (VICENZA)<br />Addressing members of the non-profit Fondation of Mons. Camillo Faresin as the organization celebrates the 20th anniversary of its establishment, Pope Francis highlights the group’s work with the “least” and their commitment to “working together.”<br />in the Vatican's Clementine Hall on Saturday, 16 March 2024<br />________________________________________<br /><br />Dear brothers and sisters, good morning!<br /><br />I am pleased to meet you on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of your Foundation. Today you bring with you twenty years rich in initiatives in the service of the least, following the footsteps of Msgr. Camillo Faresin, who was for a long time Bishop of Guiratinga in Mato Grosso, an example of missionary sensibility and faith in Providence, and also his two brothers: Don Santo, also a Salesian missionary, and Don Giovanni Battista, a diocesan priest.<br /><br />You set out to pick up the mantle of their charity, embracing their tenacity and broadmindedness in serving their neighbour. And this has led you to carry out your work in Brazil, in Italy and in other parts of the world, extending it to different fields: from education to social assistance, to health care, to the provision of decent living conditions and job opportunities for so many people.<br /><br />Looking at your effort, I would like to emphasize and encourage two important lines of action: working among the last and working together.<br /><br />First: working among the last. Msgr. Faresin and his brothers were people of humble extraction. They learned the value of charity and missionary fervour in the context of a simple, devout, modest and dignified family, a family like so many of our own. In that environment, they were able to perceive, with God’s grace, a message and an invitation for their future to stay among the last to help the last, and they did so with tireless love, with generosity and intelligence, even amid great difficulties. Let us recall, in this regard, that the name of Bishop Camillo is listed, in Jerusalem, among those of the “Garden of the Righteous”, precisely because, even before being able to set out for Brazil, held up in Rome due to the second world war, he did not allow the circumstances to stop him, working with charity and courage to assist persecuted Jews.<br /><br />This is how he was throughout his life, as a priest and then as a bishop, with an irresistible urge to be close to the most unfortunate. Until, at the end of his episcopal mandate, he asked and obtained permission to remain among his people, in Mato Grosso, until his death, as a humble servant of the humble, thus continuing in the shadows, as a friend and companion, the same ministry he had carried out for so many years as a guide and pastor.<br /><br />He left us a great example to imitate: to stay with the last, always! But how? By choosing and favouring, in your projects, the poorest and most neglected situations as special places to stay in, and as “promised lands” towards which to set out and in which to “pitch your tents” so as to begin new works (cf. Dt 1:8). And do this with a tangible presence, close to the communities you serve, from within, on the ground, working among the poor and sharing in their lives as much as possible. This is the only way, in fact, to feel the “pulse” of the real needs of the brothers and sisters the Lord puts on our path; and above all to be enriched by the light, strength and wisdom that come from being with Jesus, uniquely present in the most suffering members of his Body.<br /><br />And we come to the second point: working together. In your activities, I urge you always to seek collaboration, among yourselves and in other religious and associative settings. I know that you already cooperate, in various works, with the Missionary Sisters of Divine Will of Bassano del Grappa, and with other organizations. It is the right path. Indeed, working together is already in itself a proclamation of the lived Gospel; and for you, as well as being an intelligent way of optimizing resources, it is a way of formation in charity and communion. You emphasized this by entitling a recent event of yours “Acting together to progress together”. Precisely this: acting together does not mean only doing good, but also and above all growing united in goodness, serving and supporting each other.<br /><br />Working together, finally, is also an expression of faith in Divine Providence. Msgr. Faresin defined it as “the wellspring that most guarantees resources” for the work that God requires. And the most important resources for the works of the Lord are not things, but rather ourselves, wisely placed close to one another so that we share what we are: our passion, our creativity, our skills and experience, and also our weaknesses and frailties. From this patient pooling, in the appreciation of each person’s contribution, come fruits of great dynamism and tangibility, as the past and present history of your Foundation testifies.<br /><br />Dear brothers and sisters, thank you for what you do and for how you do it; and because in so doing you keep alive the memory of the great and generous heart of Msgr. Camillo Faresin. May Our Lady keep you in humble and courageous charity. I bless you and your families; and I ask you, please, to pray for me.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>Source: Vatican Press Bulletin<div class="blogger-post-footer">Please Note Videos are not sent via Email but can be accessed by Clicking the Link to the Website - Be Kind - Donate Today! Bearers of the values of the Gospel, we suffer from the desperate situation experienced by more than two million people living in the Gaza Strip. We want to affirm that the restriction of access to essential resources such as medical care, food and water is fundamentally inhumane.<br /><br />We feel solidarity with all the victims of this war, particularly the civilian populations, but also the soldiers or combatants who bear and will bear the consequences of the actions they must carry out. We expressed our solidarity in the aftermath of the terrorist attack of October 7, 2023. We repeat it, as is our duty, after the killing of more than a hundred hungry Gazans which took place on Thursday February 29, 2024, and forces us to see what is inhuman in the present situation.<br /><br />The military objectives and political interests pursued by this war cannot neglect the priority of saving all human life. We condemn acts of violence which exacerbate human suffering and prevent the emergence of lasting peace. We urge those involved in this war to make the protection of human life and the dignity of civilians their highest priority.<br /><br />In this spirit, we urge all political and religious leaders to intensify their action to end this violence and to take essential steps in a process aimed at establishing lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians.<br /><br />In particular, we ask:An immediate ceasefire, to ensure the delivery of essential humanitarian aid, primarily medical care, food and water.<br />The immediate release of all hostages, in accordance with international humanitarian and human rights law.<br />International efforts to open, through dialogue, a new political path towards lasting peace, revive the debate on a viable two-state solution, and begin work on healing the memories of all inhabitants of the region.<br />In this time of <a href="https://eglise.catholique.fr/glossaire/careme">Lent</a> , we invite Christians of all faiths to continue to urgently bring the situation in the Middle East into their prayers, not to get used to this situation of war and violence, to be facilitators of dialogue and meeting where the sensitivities of each are opposed, to pray and work tirelessly so that everyone draws from their religion reasons to serve peace and overcome fears and anger.<div><br />Pastor Christian Krieger, co-president of <a href="https://eglise.catholique.fr/glossaire/cecef">CECEF</a> , President of the Protestant Federation of France,<br />Mgr Éric de Moulins-Beaufort, co-president of <a href="https://eglise.catholique.fr/glossaire/cecef">CECEF</a> , President of the <a href="https://eglise.catholique.fr/glossaire/conference-des-eveques-de-france">Conference of Bishops of France</a> ,<br />Metropolitan Dimitrios, co-president of <a href="https://eglise.catholique.fr/glossaire/cecef">CECEF</a> , President of the Assembly of Orthodox bishops of France.</div><div>Source: https://eglise.catholique.fr/approfondir-sa-foi/vivre-sa-foi-a-tous-les-ages/lunite-des-chretiens-2/declarations-du-cecef/550044-les-responsables-religieux-chretiens-de-france-appellent-au-cessez-le-feu-et-a-la-liberation-des-otages/<br /><blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-media-max-width="560"><p dir="ltr" lang="fr">Situation à <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Gaza?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Gaza</a> : les responsables religieux chrétiens de France (<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/CECEF?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#CECEF</a>) appellent au cessez-le-feu et à la libération des otages👇 <a href="https://t.co/E85TnhKfyh">pic.twitter.com/E85TnhKfyh</a></p>— Église catholique en France (@Eglisecatho) <a href="https://twitter.com/Eglisecatho/status/1765049841258733869?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 5, 2024</a></blockquote> <script async="" charset="utf-8" src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js"></script></div></div><div class="blogger-post-footer">Please Note Videos are not sent via Email but can be accessed by Clicking the Link to the Website - Be Kind - Donate Today!
