U.S. Vice President JD Vance Attends Mass in Jerusalem at the Holy Sepulchre Church

U.S. Vice President JD Vance, a baptized Catholic, attended Holy Mass in Jerusalem at the Holy Sepulchre Church, where Christ is said to have been crucified, buried, and resurrected.
He went to a private Mass with his wife and staff provided by the Franciscans of the Holy Land. According to reports Vance went to Confession before; while on his 3-day diplomatic visit to the Holy Land. The couple lit candles in the church.
The Greek Orthodox His Beatitude Theophilos III, together with the Heads of the Churches of the Status Quo communities, the Custos of the Holy Land, and the representative of the Armenian Patriarchate, received the Vice President of the United States, JD Vance, and his wife, Usha Vance, at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
JD Vance posted on X:
What an amazing blessing to have visited the site of Christ's death and resurrection. I am immensely grateful to to the Greek, Armenian, and Catholic priests who care for this most sacred of places.
May the Prince of Peace have mercy on us, and bless our efforts for peace.
I am also grateful to the Franciscan monks who celebrated a private mass for my family and many of the Americans working for peace. They are a great credit to the Christian faith, and they were kind enough to take the time to minister to us at a very special moment.
He posted a video of himself on X saying:
"I know that Christians have many titles for Jesus Christ. One of them is the Prince of Peace."
"I would ask all people of faith and, in particular, my fellow Christians to pray that the Prince of Peace can continue to work a miracle in this region of the world."We have made incredible progress in our efforts toward peace in the Middle East. With the world’s prayers, God’s providence, and the excellent team President Trump has assembled, we will get the job done.⁩
