But the prophet who presumes to speak a word
in my name which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of
other gods, that same prophet shall die.'
Psalms 95:
1 - 2, 6 - 9
|
| 1 |
O come, let us sing to the LORD; let us make
a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! |
| 2 |
Let us come into his presence with
thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!
|
| 6 |
O come, let us worship and bow down, let us
kneel before the LORD, our Maker! |
| 7 |
For he is our God, and we are the people of
his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. O that today you would hearken to his
voice! |
| 8 |
Harden not your hearts, as at Mer'ibah, as
on the day at Massah in the wilderness, |
| 9 |
when your fathers tested me, and put me to
the proof, though they had seen my work. |

Corinthians 7: 32 - 35
|
| 32 |
I want you to be free from anxieties. The
unmarried man is anxious about the affairs of the Lord, how to please the Lord;
|
| 33 |
but the married man is anxious about worldly
affairs, how to please his wife, |
| 34 |
and his interests are divided. And the
unmarried woman or girl is anxious about the affairs of the Lord, how to be holy
in body and spirit; but the married woman is anxious about worldly affairs, how
to please her husband. |
| 35 |
I say this for your own benefit, not to lay
any restraint upon you, but to promote good order and to secure your undivided
devotion to the Lord. |
Mark 1: 21
- 28
|
| 21 |
And they went into Caper'na-um; and
immediately on the sabbath he entered the synagogue and taught.
|
| 22 |
And they were astonished at his teaching,
for he taught them as one who had authority, and not as the scribes.
|
| 23 |
And immediately there was in their synagogue
a man with an unclean spirit; |
| 24 |
and he cried out, "What have you to do with
us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are, the Holy
One of God." |
| 25 |
But Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be silent,
and come out of him!" |
| 26 |
And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and
crying with a loud voice, came out of him. |
| 27 |
And they were all amazed, so that they
questioned among themselves, saying, "What is this? A new teaching! With
authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him."
|
| 28 |
And at once his fame spread everywhere
throughout all the surrounding region of Galilee. |
