Fr. James Martin Posts Photo with Pope Francis at the Vatican from his Private Meeting

Fr. James Martin, SJ, is in Rome from November 8 to 18 for the plenary meeting of the Dicastery for Communication. He posted a photo of his meeting with Pope Francis saying:
Dear friends: I was deeply grateful to meet with Pope Francis in the Apostolic Palace this morning for 45 minutes. During the audience I shared with him the joys and hopes, the griefs and anxieties, of LGBTQ Catholics. It was a warm, inspiring and encouraging meeting, punctuated by laughter, that I'll never forget. At the beginning of our meeting (pictured) I gave him a copy of an icon that hung in the chapel of our Jesuit novitiate, "Christ the Life Giver." Image Vatican News (from FB of Fr. James Martin)
