Wow the Tallest Statue of Jesus in Mexico - Christ of Peace is Blessed at Easter!

On April 9, the Christ of Peace statue was blessed and dedicated in Tabasco, Zacatecas state, Mexico. The statue sits on a pedestal that measures 108 feet in height. Thus, it is the largest of its type in the country. The scupture stands in the center on top of “Faith and Religion Hill.” Attending the dedication were the governor of Zacatecas, David Monreal Ávila; the president of Tabasco, Gil Martínez; and the pastor of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in the town of Tabasco, Father Luis Manuel Luévano Díaz. According to the Christ of Peace Facebook page, the priest blessed the sculpture and gave a message of faith and hope to the thousands of faithful present.

 The Committee of the Christ of Peace, by its nature an organization of faith, that worked to make our town the place of "the tallest and most beautiful Christ in Mexico." In our essence and philosophy we have never sought confrontation. Today it is necessary to point out:

 1. - The sculptor never owed a single weight, because he did not comply with the contract, at the time of the cutting he had not delivered even half of the work and he was not going to be paid in advance seeing his opacity.

 2. -This work is not from the sculptor or of a single man!!! Hundreds of people who cooperated, migrant entrepreneurs, civil society people participated to collect payments, to them is the recognition!!!
3. -To achieve this must be thanked to the family who kindly donated the land and access, to the engineers who calculated and built the cement and structure and to the past administration who designed planned and delivered this work in a very significant advance. 

4. - To the bishop who supported and the coming of the project. 

5. -To the state government of Alejandro Tello for its economic support and machinery. 

6. -To all the people who believed and supported this great project that makes us Tabasqueans great, this is the work of the whole people!!!! This committee will always be there to support the noble and progressive causes of our beloved Tabasco.
