Most Beautiful Prayer of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Bible - The Magnificat Prayer Inspired by the Holy Spirit!

The Magnificat Prayer is found in the Bible in the Gospel of Luke chapter 1:46-55.

It was composed by the Blessed Virgin Mary and inspired by the Holy Spirit. When Jesus was in her womb, Mary went to visit her cousin Elizabeth who was also pregnant with St. John the Baptist. It was during this Visitation (Feast May 31) that Mary recited this beautiful prayer:
My soul doth magnify the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has looked with favor on his humble servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.
He has mercy on those who fear him
in every generation.
He has shown might with his arm,
he has scattered the proud in the conceit of their heart.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
and has lifted up the humble.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel
for he has remembered his promise of mercy,
the promise he made to our fathers,
to Abraham and his children forever.
***This prayer is said everyday during the Liturgy of the Hours. It is often accompanied by the Glory Be prayer at the end. *Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.*
