It is a very pleasant reunion today with His Holiness Pope Francis, to whom I conveyed my deep affection and wishes for the full recovery of the Cuban people.
It was a frank conversation. We confirm broad coincidences on pressing issues on the international agenda for humanity.
We address the current Cuban reality, particularly the severe impact on our population of the intensified economic blockade.
I appreciated their expressions of closeness and encouragement in favor of our country.
We confirm the will to continue strengthening the ties between the Holy See and #Cuba.
