#BreakingNews Candace Owens Announces that She's become a Catholic!

Candace Owens, a conservative commentator, has announced her conversion to Catholicism, 34-year-old, is married to a Catholic British activist and entrepreneur named George Farmer. She announced the news on X (Twitter) on  April 22nd, calling it her “decision to go home.” She wrote,

“Recently, I made the decision to go home. There is of course so much more that went into this decision and that I plan to share in the future. But for now, praise be to God for His gentle, but relentless guiding of my heart toward Truth. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” I do not fear. Christ is King.

Candance married Farmer in 2019 and they have 3 young children. Candace Owens was recently released from The Daily Wire in March for her support of the Palestinian people in Gaza. She has often used the phrase “Christ is King” in her online postings.  In 2018, she cofounded BLEXIT, which advocates for Black Americans to leave the Democratic Party. She has identified as a Reformed Evangelical Protestant. Owens hosted a theological debate with her husband, George Farmer and Fox News commentator Allie Beth Stuckey, an evangelical, on her podcast in May 2023. In an interview this week, Farmer spoke to the Catholic Herald on his family dynamics and his own conversion. He said, “We have different brands.”  “She is very outward-facing, and pretty much everything she says becomes a news story, whereas I am exclusively interested in faith.” During the time of the Farmer-Stuckey debate, Owens revealed that she regularly attended Mass with Farmer and their children but had not yet decided on making a denominational change. In March of this year, however, in a comment responding to a "X" post asking if she is Catholic, she responded, “Almost there. ✝️”  In her social media announcement on April 22nd, she is seen with the Oratorian priest Fr. Julian Large and a vigil candle in her husband’s home of London at the Brompton Oratory, a Latin Mass community established by St. John Henry Newman in 1849.

Let us Pray for Candace and all converts to Catholicism that they may remain faithful to Jesus and his Church!
