#BreakingNews Another Catholic Priest is Kidnapped in Nigeria - Please Pray for Fr. Oliver Buba

According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Catholic Bishop of Yola Dioceses, Rev Dr Dami Mamza, the Catholic cleric was said to be kidnapped at about 1:00am on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 in St Rita's Catholic church Bare, Numan.
"His Lordship, Most Rev. Dami Mamza, the Catholic Bishop of Yola Dioceses invites all Christ's faithful and all men and women of goodwill to earnestly pray for the quick and safe release of our priest"
“We commend our brother, Fr. Oliver Buba, to the powerful intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Priests, for his speedy release from the hands of his abductors,” he said.It is only a few days after the kidnapping of Father Basil Gbuzuo, and another priest has been kidnapped in Nigeria. Father Oliver Buba is from Yola Diocese in Adamawa State. Bishop of Yola, Stephen Dami Mamza, in a statement said that Father Buba was abducted from the dining room of the presbytery of St. Rita Parish at around 1am on May 21st. Adamawa State is in northeastern Nigeria, while Anambra State, where Father Gbuzuo was kidnapped on May 15, is in south-central Nigeria, not far from the federal capital, Abuja. This confirms that kidnapping for ransom is a widespread crime throughout the Nigerian Federation, including mass kidnappings, especially of schoolchildren and students.
