Father Oliver Buba is from Yola Diocese in Adamawa State. Bishop of Yola, Stephen Dami Mamza, in a statement said that Father Buba was abducted from the dining room of the presbytery of St. Rita Parish at around 1am on May 21st. Adamawa State is in northeastern Nigeria, while Anambra State, where Father Gbuzuo was kidnapped on May 15, is in south-central Nigeria, not far from the federal capital, Abuja. This confirms that kidnapping for ransom is a widespread crime throughout the Nigerian Federation, including mass kidnappings, especially of schoolchildren and students.
