FULL TEXT of Pope Leo XIV
Good evening!
Jesus tells us: “You are the salt of the earth”, “You are the light of the world!” You are the salt of the earth, the light of the world! And today your voices, your enthusiasm, your cries, all of which are for Jesus Christ, will be heard until the end of the world!
Today marks the beginning of a series of days, a journey, the Jubilee of Hope, and the world needs messages of hope. You are this message, and you must continue to give hope to everyone.
We hope that all of you will always be signs of hope in the world! Today we begin. In the coming days, you will have the opportunity to be a force that can bring God's grace, a message of hope, a light to the city of Rome, to Italy, and to the entire world. Let us walk together with our faith in Jesus Christ.
And our cry must also be for world peace. Let us all say: "We want peace in the world!" The Square: "We want peace in the world!" Let us pray for peace.

We pray for peace and are witnesses to the peace of Jesus Christ, to reconciliation, to this light of the world that we all seek.

Brothers and sisters, may the Lord be with you. Our help in the name of the Lord... blessing...

See you. We'll meet at Tor Vergata. Have a great week!
