Holy Virgin, Mother of Christ, our hope,

your caring presence in this year of grace accompanies us, consoles us, and gives us in the nights of history the certainty that in Christ evil is conquered and every man is redeemed by his love. Perfect disciple of the Lord, you kept in your heart all the things of God. Teach us to listen to the word and to understand it interiorly to walk confidently on the path of holiness. To your immaculate heart we entrust the entire world and all humanity, especially your children tormented by the scourge of war. Advocate of grace, counsel us on the path of reconciliation and forgiveness. Do not fail to intercede for us in joy and sorrow, and obtain for us the gift of peace for which we so implore. Mother of the Church, graciously welcome us, so that under your mantle we may find refuge and be succored by your maternal help in the travails of life. With you, Immaculate Virgin, we magnify the Lord, recognizing at every moment the great works of his love. Holy Virgin, Mother assumed into heaven, Queen of Peace, Lady of the Immaculate Heart, pray for us.
