Pope Leo XIV says "Every believer in Christ is called to keep their life open to the action of the Holy Spirit..."
Pope Leo XIV met with the members of the Equestrian Club of Barcelona, engaged in charitable works. Received on the morning, May 25, in the Vatican. This meeting coincides with the anniversary of the club's founding, established in 1856 in the Catalan city by entrepreneurs committed to social work.
ADDRESS OF HIS HOLINESS POPE LEO XIV
TO THE DELEGATION OF THE "EQUESTRIAN CIRCLE" OF BARCELONA (SPAIN)
in the Vatican's Council Chamber, on Monday, May 25, 2026

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Peace be with you.
Good morning and welcome.
I welcome all of you who have come to meet with the Successor of Peter on the occasion of your foundation anniversary. I thank you for this gesture of closeness.
Every believer in Christ is called to keep their life open to the action of the Holy Spirit, in an attitude of tireless availability to live Christian charity, the theological virtue by which we love God above all things and others as ourselves, precisely for the love of God. The Christian, therefore, is not merely a philanthropist, but someone compassionate, who loves selflessly and actively seeks the integral well-being of others. I invite you to keep your gaze fixed on Christ, because only in this way is it possible to recognize his presence in our least and most needy brothers and sisters.
Through your personal dedication to the service of God and others, willing to accompany them with patience and compassion, may the Lord grant you to grow in his love and abundantly bless you and your loved ones.
And may the blessing of Almighty God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, descend upon you and remain with you forever. Amen.
