Celebrating the 250th Birthday of the U.S.A. the Champion National Shrine Honors 76 American Saints in an Exhibit


In celebration of the 250th birthday of our nation, the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion is hosting an exhibit of American Saints. The exhibit features 76 American saints (see list at bottom) and others on the path to sainthood, reflecting the year 1776 and our nation’s birth. 

It will host a special novena dedicated to praying for the United States, seeking Our Lady’s intercession for unity, holiness, and renewal across our land. At The National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion from July 1, 2026 – July 9, 2026 in Mother of Mercy Hall.


As part of this historic observance, the Shrine will present a
first-of-its-kind Carlo Acutis-inspired exhibit honoring the holy men and women of America Saints, Blesseds, Venerables, and Servants of God who have shaped our faith and serve as powerful examples of Christian virtue.

  • Speakers & Guilds to learn more about the Causes
  • Novena for Our Nation, praying for our country
  • Relics of multiple American Saints and Blesseds made available for veneration

This spiritual initiative invites all pilgrims to join in prayer for our country, to draw inspiration from those who have gone before us, and to renew our commitment to living lives of holiness. Igniting a new generation of saints for America.

On July 5, they commemorate the anniversary of the death of the visionary of Our Lady of Champion, Servant of God Adele Brice. This marks the first anniversary since she was officially declared a Servant of God. A special Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., followed by a special blessing at her gravesite as we pray for her path to sainthood.

The Knights of Columbus and the Blessed Michael McGivney Guild will host an All-American picnic for a small fee, where guests can enjoy food, visit the exhibit, hear speakers, and take part in this special celebration.
