Prayers Answered as Kidnapped Catholic Nun is Released after 4 Years in Captivity - Sister Gloria is Free and was Welcomed by Pope Francis!


The Franciscan Nun, Sister Gloria Cecelia Narvaez, was kidnapped in 2017 in Mali. Sister Gloria, a missionary, was abducted by Jihadi gunmen, on February 7th 2017 at Koutiala, Mali in Africa. She was kept for four years and eight months in captivity. According to reports she is in good health and sparkling good spirits. Sister Gloria attended the Papal Mass opening the Synod and was greeted by Pope Francis on Sunday morning at the Vatican Basilica.  The Archbishop of Mumako, Jean Zerbo, said: "I thank the Authorities and good people, who have brought about her release. We have prayed long and hard for this day." In March, her brother received a letter via The Red Cross, written and signed by her.  Sister Gloria also met with Mali`s Interim President Assimi Goita.
