Appointment of Auxiliary Bishop of Quebec (Canada)
The Holy Father has appointed as Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Quebec (Canada) the Rev. Juan Carlos Londoño, of the clergy of the Archdiocese of Medellín (Colombia), until now a fidei donum priest in the Diocese of Gaspé, assigning him the titular See of Beatia.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Juan Carlos Londoño was born on April 3, 1974 in Medellín, Colombia. He attended the Seminario Conciliar de Medellin and the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellin. Furthermore, he knows sign language and the native Micmac language.
He was ordained a priest on November 24, 2001 for the Archdiocese of Medellin.
He held the following positions: Vicar in the Nuestra Señora del Rosario Parish and Chaplain of the Pastoral del Sur of the Archdiocese of Medellin; since 2008, Priest fidei donum in the Diocese of Gaspé (Canada); parish priest of Saint-Camille de Lelis, of Saint-Antoine Marie Claret, of the Pastoral Sector Notre-Dame des Cascapédia and of the Pastoral Sector De la Rivière à la Montagne; Parish priest in New Richmond in the parishes of Saint-Edgar, Saint-Jules de Gascapédia and the Mission Kateri Tekakwita de Gesgapegiag. https://press.vatican.va/content/salastampa/it/bollettino/pubblico/2023/12/12/0878/01915.html
