BREAKING 7,000 at Germany's 21st March for Life Encounter Counter Protests Controlled by Police in Berlin and Cologne

Germany's 21st March for Life had a total of 7,000 participants in Berlin and Cologne - The march is a clear signal to politicians to promote life alternatives and to ensure that abortion and assisted suicide are not promoted. Southern Germany has its own annual March for Life usually held in April with several thousand people.
There was great enthusiasm among participants young and old! However, marchers did encounter a protest against the march.

Alexandra Linder, chairwoman of the Federal Association for the Right to Life, said of today’s March for Life in Berlin and Cologne:
"From a three-month-old baby to an 89-year-old great-grandmother: The 21st March for Life in Berlin and the third March for Life in Cologne impressively demonstrated that the right to life is an issue that concerns everyone.
People from not only Germany, but all over the world took to the streets to publicly advocate for comprehensive human dignity and the right to life of every human being. They experienced large-scale events that addressed important issues in a peaceful, objective, and humane manner, and presented impressive examples of the practical realization of human dignity.
In Berlin, Prof. Dr. Holm Schneider told the story of a courageous family who, with his guidance, took the risk of bringing quadruplets into the world. The alternative would have been the abortion of at least one child. Johanna Durairaj, who lives with her family in India, is building a right-to-life structure there, from a hotline to professional training and shelters for young pregnant women who would otherwise be on the streets. And one could also get up close and personal with courageous individuals, such as the Berlin pharmacist Andreas Kersten, who, despite complaints, attacks on his pharmacy, and legal persecution, remained steadfast and refused to sell medications that can cause early abortions, such as the so-called morning-after pill.
Young people were also present: In both Berlin and Cologne, committed young people reported on their street activities and the difficulty of peacefully debating with those who think differently. In Cologne, too, the topic of freedom of conscience was the lawyer Dr. Felix Böllmann of ADF International. Midwife Sarah spoke about her fascinating work and the value of life, while Dr. Elisabeth Luge focused on the important prevention of unexpected pregnancies.

The large events, with a total of almost 7,000 participants (approximately 4,000 in Berlin and approximately 3,000 in Cologne), also sent a clear signal to politicians with concrete demands to promote alternative lifestyles and ensure that abortion and assisted suicide are not promoted. According to Alexandra Linder, chairwoman of the Federal Association for the Right to Life, this always represents a capitulation by both the state and society to solvable problems. Fortunately, society is increasingly waking up to ethical principles and support services.

The next March for Life in Berlin and Cologne will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
