Vatican State has a new app (see link below to download) with the help of Saint Carlo Acutis' parents. Upon download a message appears: “The Governorate of Vatican City State thanks Andrea and Antonia Acutis who, on the occasion of the canonization of their son Carlo, generously contributed to the creation and development of the News App of the official website www.vaticanstate.va.” The January 2026 launch of the new app is for the institutional website www.vaticanstate.va
The new official app of the Governorate of Vatican City State is dedicated to Saint Carlo Acutis (1991-2006) and his computer genius.
The application offers content from the institutional information website
www.vaticanstate.va and was designed to make access to information
even simpler, more immediate, and more accessible from mobile devices.
The new application allows for quick and intuitive access to news, notices, and official communications, improving the browsing experience and accessibility to information.
The app's main features include:
• up-to-date access to news and institutional communications;
• push notifications for the latest news;
• simplified navigation optimized for smartphones and tablets;
• greater accessibility and usability of content.
The app's various sections include the saint of the day, news,
interviews, videos, and links to other institutions within the Governorate:
CFN, Vatican Museums, Vatican Pharmacy, Vatican Post Office, Pontifical Villas, and the Vatican Ospecola. Other features will be implemented later.
This initiative is part of the digital innovation program promoted by the Governorate,
with the aim of promoting transparency, participation, and the dissemination of institutional
information through modern and inclusive tools.
