BREAKING Thousands at Canada's March for Life Mourning Nearly 5 Million Unborn Lost and Thousands Taken by Euthanasia with Youth Leading the Way to Respect Life! VIDEO

Thousands of Pro-Lifer's participated in the 29th Annual Pro-Life National March for Life, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on Thursday, May 14, 2026. This year's March for Life showed large crowds with a flood of youth! There was police protection from a small number of counter protestors.

This year's theme was "Follow Me." The theme originates from the biblical passage - "And He said to them, ‘Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.’ Immediately they left their nets and followed Him."(Matthew 4:19-20) These are words that changed history. “Follow Me” is first and foremost an invitation to be disciples of Jesus and fishers of men.

The March for Life Website explains: Human rights begin when human life begins, and human life begins at conception. Each of us can trace our origins back to our time in the womb; you were once a fetus, and before that, an embryo, and you began your life as a single-celled zygote. There is a scientific consensus on this matter. A survey done of over 5000 biologists found that 96% agreed that life begins at fertilization (or conception—the terms mean the same thing). Unfortunately, Canada has instead arbitrarily and unscientifically chosen to provide human beings protection only after birth (and even then, this protection is patchwork, as infanticide and euthanasia are sometimes permitted).

Thousands of youth brought energy and enthusiasm to the crowds:

The crowd was addressed on Parliament Hill by several speakers including Rebecca Kiessling. This year there was a highlight of Canada’s Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) program which is projected to surpass 100,000 deaths within its first decade—an unprecedented milestone for any country. Since its legalization in 2016, MAiD has expanded rapidly year after year, now accounting for a significant share of all deaths in Canada and continuing to grow steadily.

Several Members of Parliament stood at front together with religious leaders. Arnold Vierson (see video below) were notable among civil leaders (MPs) and former MP Derek Sloan.    Some Catholic bishops were present on the Hill, including Archbishop Marcel Damphousse, who  addressed the crowd. Religious orders such as Sisters of Life, Servants of the Cross, Companions of the Cross, and Queenship of Mary, had a notable presence.

He celebrated Mass for the March at the Notre Dame Cathedral in Ottawa, with several bishops and priests con-celebrating. Another Mass for the March was held at St. Patrick's Basilica. Ukranian Catholic Andrey Sheptytsky Institute said a prayer. Abortion became legal in Canada on May 14, 1969, thus it has been nearly 60 years.
The 2026 March for Life had a week’s worth of dynamic events, including Masses and prayer services, the Songs for Life Coffee House, Candlelight Vigil, Rally on the Hill, March for Life, Rose Dinner Gala, and Youth Summit.

There was a Youth Summit and Vigil held prior to the March. Ottawa Archbishop Marcel Damphousse praised the National March for Life in a May 14 homily in Notre-Dame Cathedral, saying that “Canada is known for having the worst euthanasia regime in the world”, acknowledged Archbishop Damphousse in his homily. But, he added more hopefully later: “I truly believe the church is seeing a renewal with our young people”.
