Pope Francis Visits the Byzantine Rite Greek- Catholic Church in Hungary - Listens to the Beautiful Choir and Imparts a Blessing - VIDEO



At the end of the meeting with the poor and refugees at the Church of St. Elizabeth of Hungary, the Holy Father Francis met the Greek-Catholic community at the Protection Church of the Mother of God.
Upon his arrival, the Pope was welcomed at the entrance to the Greek-Catholic church in Budapest by the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Eparchy of Hajdúdorog for Catholics of the Byzantine rite, H.E. Archbishop Fülöp Kocsis. Then together they went in front of the Iconostasis, while the choir sang a song.

After the greeting address of the Metropolitan Archbishop, a moment of prayer with the Community followed. The meeting ended with the blessing and the final song.

At the end of the visit to the Greek-Catholic community, the Holy Father went by car to the Apostolic Nunciature in Budapest. Upon his arrival, Pope Francis received Metropolitan Hilarion of Budapest and Hungary. The cordial meeting lasted about 20 minutes.
