Pope Leo XIV Meets with King of Jordan and Queen Rania and He Receives a Special Invitation!



On October 14th in the afternoon, Pope Leo XIV met with the sovereign of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and his wife, Queen Rania, at the Apostolic Palace, following their signing of the Gaza peace deal in Egypt. The royals, on a private visit, were welcomed in the courtyard of San Damaso and passed through the second loggia and the Clementine Hall, accompanied by the Pontifical Swiss Guard, to reach the library, where they were received by the Pontiff. The royals subsequently presented their entourage to the Pope, and the exchange of gifts took place.
King Abdullah II, of Jordan, and his wife Queen Rania, who is of Palestinian origin, met Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican, and the King invited the Pope to visit the baptism site of Jesus Christ in Jordan. He called for increased protection of Jerusalem's holy places and reaffirmed his support for a two-state solution to achieve lasting peace in the Holy Land. (Source Vatican News It)
